We believe in brand-building that's strategic, deeply human, and creatively fearless.SEO / GEO StrategistLocation: RemoteType: Part-Time (15–20 hours/week) availability overlap with 9-5 US Eastern Time.Department: LifecycleReports to: Lifecycle MarketingPosition OverviewEverything Bagel Partners is looking for a Part-Time SEO / GEO Strategist with deep experience in CPG and DTC brands to help us grow organic demand across traditional search and emerging generative search platforms (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.).This role is ideal for someone who understands how consumers discover, research, and evaluate CPG products online—and knows how to translate that behavior into high-impact content, technical SEO strategy, and brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve our organic search strategy across branded and non-branded queriesConduct keyword research focused on category education, problem/solution, and product comparison queriesOptimize site architecture, on-page SEO, internal linking, and technical foundationsPartner with brand, ecommerce, and performance teams to turn insights into executionGEO (Generative Engine Optimization)Develop strategies to improve brand visibility in AI-driven search and answer enginesOptimize content for inclusion in AI summaries, citations, and conversational resultsIdentify opportunities to position the brand as an authority within key CPG categoriesMonitor changes in generative search behavior and recommend proactive adjustmentsContent & EducationInform the creation of educational, comparison, and evergreen content that supports the buyer journeyOptimize blog, PDPs, category pages, FAQs, and educational hubs for discoverabilityEnsure content reflects brand voice while maximizing search performanceAnalytics & ReportingTrack and report on organic traffic, rankings, share of voice, and GEO performance indicatorsIdentify insights, wins, and opportunities through Search Console, GA, and third-party SEO toolsCommunicate findings clearly to stakeholders with actionable recommendationsClient CommunicationAvailable to meet with clients via video and communicate via Slack during work hours (9am-5pm Eastern US)Qualifications3–5+ years of SEO experience, with direct experience in CPG and/or DTC brandsProven success growing organic traffic and revenue in competitive product categoriesStrong understanding of consumer research behavior for physical goodsHands-on experience with on-page, technical SEO, and content optimizationFamiliarity with AI-powered search platforms and evolving SEO best practicesAbility to work independently and prioritize impact in limited hoursPreferred SkillsComfort using ecommerce platforms: Shopify, WordPressProficiency in project management tools like Asana to organize and streamline workflows.Comfort within Google Suite, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication across copywriting, design, and technical groups.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, adept at managing tasks for multiple accounts simultaneously and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment, and communicating proactively.Nice to HaveExperience with subscription-based CPG or omnichannel retailExperience optimizing for Amazon or marketplace search (a plus)Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and GSCCopy or content strategy backgroundWhy You'll Love This RoleFlexible, part-time hours with meaningful ownershipOpportunity to shape SEO and GEO strategy at growing CPG brandsHigh-impact work focused on education, brand authority, and long-term growthCollaborative team that values experimentation and insight-driven decisionsJ-18808-Ljbffr
