• Shift: Inpatient Rounding, Clinic 1 day/week, Emergency Room call
• Hours/Week: Flexible, approx. 15-20 patients post-op in clinic
• Employment Type: Full-Time Locum
• License/Certs: Active Louisiana state license preferred
• Experience: Prior APP experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr (please note, actual pay to be discussed upon application)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults for cardiovascular procedures
• Cover emergency room call as needed
• Manage post-operative patient care (15-20 patients in clinic weekly)
• Participate in approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements
• Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What You Need:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Louisiana
• Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and surgical support skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
