Job Summary Manage all restaurant operations to include staff supervision, guest service, training, and administrative duties. Responsibilities Oversee proper operation of dining room including service flow on serving lines, quick and efficient cashiering, expedient serving of tour groups, and ensuring that food lines are properly stocked. Schedule front-of-house staff segments in line with labor budget, business levels, special functions, and staff levels. Maintain shift log communicating shift activities, personnel issues, guest issues, back-of-house issues, cover counts, and other shift activities. Recommend employees for promotion in the front of house. Assist in writing annual reviews for hourly staff. Administer corrective action as necessary, consulting/communicating with the Cafeteria Manager or Food & Beverage Executive Management, and ensuring HR approval for any discharges. Handle all guest requests/complaints/issues and suggestions with professionalism, sincerity, knowledge, and expediency. Assist with payroll, monthly inventory, and ordering of supplies. Communicate facility, equipment, supplies, and staff needs to the Cafeteria Manager. Check side-work duties before employee check-out, ensuring opening and closing duties are completed and staff are ready to work in appropriate, clean uniform. Serve as link with kitchen management regarding 86’d items, daily specials, items dragging, etc., and convey information to front-of-house staff. Check lounge operations to provide the same level of service as in the dining room. Assist bartenders in cutting off lounge patrons, checking IDs, and maintaining orderly operation. Assist cashiers with cash drops and deposits; troubleshoot POS system as required. Ensure staff adheres to risk management procedures, including PPE, MSDS location and comprehension, ergonomics, and slip-and-fall prevention. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications One year of supervisory experience in high-volume Food & Beverage operation. Knowledge of lounge operations, liquor laws, and TIPS program. Ability to train entry-level employees in high-volume food service and quality guest service. Knowledge of and experience with computerized POS systems, preferably Simphony. Excellent verbal communication skills for engaging guests and employees. Basic accounting skills, including labor budgets, sales, cost of services, and P&L analysis. Ability to pass ServSafe food sanitation class. Must be available for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Constantly stand, walk, handle, reach outward, reach above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs, push/pull up to 25 lbs. Frequently climb, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 40 lbs. Occasionally sit, crawl, squat/kneel, lift up to 100 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
