SEDSS- Senior Systems Engineer **

This is a future‑funded position and is not expected to begin before September 1 2026. The role requires full‑time on‑site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. Security Clearance An active Secret clearance is required. Candidates may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance after beginning the work. US citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. Requirements At least ten years of experience performing software and systems engineering activities. Experience with military aircraft avionics systems and/or software. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software requirements. Review and evaluate vendor software specifications. Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration. Conduct analysis of software defects. Coordinate with cybersecurity subject‑matter experts. Participate in System Engineering technical reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.). Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process. Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes. Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs). Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207. Experience with systems software, systems-of-systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability. Experience with Agile software development processes. Education Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline from an ABET‑accredited program. Compensation Projected annual compensation range: $120,000-$176,000 USD. Compensation is determined by experience, education, training, clearance, location, skills, and alignment with company and contract requirements.
