Job Details

• Position involves providing hemodialysis treatments to pediatric and adult patients (inpatient and outpatient) within a hospital-based dialysis unit.
• Treatments may be conducted in the dialysis unit or at the patient's bedside.
• Works closely with dialysis technicians to promote safe and effective dialysis care.
• Demonstrates technical nursing skills in care delivery to ensure safe practice and positive outcomes.
• Provides age-specific nursing care to patients and families utilizing the nursing process to maintain, regain, or attain optimal health.
• Implements the nursing process through effective relationship-based nursing care.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating between 6am-6:30pm, 9am-9:30pm, and 10am-10:30pm, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid drivers license or state ID; UHS skills checklist; UHS submission packet; UHS prior employment form.
• Additional information: On-call is required for this position.
