About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred in acute care facility License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Must-Have: Recent experience with EPIC and Cerner Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or patient situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in offering safe, healing, humane, and caring patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients, requiring all associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in E-Verify processes and acknowledges participation and rights therein. This unit provides care for post-critical cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring and observation. The care provided is less intensive than critical care but is more comprehensive than care required by general acute patients. Patients may require specialty IV drips.
