We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer / Data Lead with 10 12 years of expertise in Data Engineering, Data Management, and Enterprise Data Warehousing .

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical expertise in data engineering, database development, data modeling, ETL/ELT, SQL, and Python with proven ability to lead customer-facing discussions and deliver scalable enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension models , and enterprise-scale data models.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-based and on-premises technologies.
• Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning and optimization.
• Use Python for data processing, automation, and data quality validation.
• Lead data discovery workshops and gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Define and maintain source-to-target mappings .
• Establish and implement data governance and data quality frameworks .
• Manage complex data integrations across ERP, CRM, and operational platforms .
• Design and support API-based integrations and enterprise data flows.
• Work with data architects, engineering teams, business users, customer data teams, and leadership.
• Identify and resolve data-related challenges and ensure successful delivery of data initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 10 12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, Database Engineering, or Enterprise Data Warehousing .
• Strong expertise in data modeling and enterprise data architecture .
• Hands-on experience with star schema, snowflake schema, fact and dimension modeling .
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning .
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and validation.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines .
• Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Databricks
  • Azure Synapse
  • Snowflake
  • AWS Glue
  • Informatica
  • Talend
  • SSIS

Data Lead / Functional Skills

• Proven experience in customer-facing data discussions .
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading data discovery workshops .
• Expertise in source-to-target mapping .
• Experience establishing data governance and data quality frameworks .
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) .
• Understanding of metadata management and data lineage .
• Experience with API-based integrations .
• Strong understanding of cloud data architectures .
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and operational platforms .
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with multiple cloud data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise data transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of analytics, reporting, and AI-driven data solutions.
• Strong presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with customers, architects, business stakeholders, and senior leadership .
