Job Description

This role focuses on plumbing installation work across both residential and commercial projects in and around Worcester, MA. You will play a key part in new construction developments, with a strong emphasis on restaurants, school facilities, and college projects during winter and summer breaks. The position requires a Massachusetts plumbing license and the ability to deliver high‑quality, code‑compliant installations in fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of plumbing systems for new construction projects, including residential developments and college facilities during winter and summer breaks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute installation work accurately.
• Install water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and related equipment in accordance with state and local plumbing codes.
• Collaborate closely with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
• Troubleshoot installation‑related issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions that meet safety, quality, and code requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress for each assigned job.
• Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts plumbing codes and company safety protocols on every project.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
• Work on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces as required by job conditions while following all safety guidelines.
• Contribute to a cooperative team environment by communicating clearly and supporting fellow plumbers and tradespeople on site.

Essential Skills

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumbing License.
• Several years of plumbing installation experience in residential and/or commercial settings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, particularly those applicable to food‑service and educational facilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage installation tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in tight or confined spaces while adhering to safety standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with contractors, project managers, and inspectors.
• Proficiency using hand and power tools commonly required for plumbing installation work.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following established safety protocols.
• OSHA 10 certification or strong familiarity with OSHA safety practices.

Work Environment

You will always work alongside another licensed journeyman plumber to promote safety and collaboration. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
