Vascular Interventional Radiology Department Specifics: 2 IR Suites, 1 CT Procedure area, Hybrid Vascular OR Suite, Monitor MRI Pacemaker patients Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm; 3-8hr shifts per week (variable/rotating), Potential to move to fixed days. Call: Approximately 3-4 shifts per month. On a call rotation after 5:30pm and on some weekends. Requirements: 2 years of critical care experience preferred (ICU or ED). IR experience is preferred. Tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. Help patients navigate their healthcare safely. Use knowledge of needs to prevent issues. Essential Functions Of The Role Prioritizing patient and family needs is crucial. Responsibilities involve developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Adjust as needed. Making a safe place for patients, families, staff is vital. This includes maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary. The successful candidate will manage learning for patients and families. They will help nursing staff grow. Knowledge sharing in the health care team and community is also promoted. Key Success Factors A basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing. You must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to engage with different groups effectively. Critical thinking and problem-solving for providing optimal patient care. The ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors. Basic computer skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email. Candidates must be Registered Nurses(RN). A (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is required or must obtain within (30) thirty days of hire Requirements: 2 years of critical care experience preferred (ICU or ED).
