About the role

Insight Xcite is seeking a Data Architect / Data Engineer to support data acquisition, processing, integration, and management in McLean, Virginia. You will build and operate cloud-based data solutions and collaborate with engineers, customer stakeholders, and partner teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure and data management, including AWS environments.
• Build and execute ETL pipelines and integrate data flows with enterprise systems.
• Process data using Python and distributed data platforms, and support SQL and NoSQL data environments.
• Work across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Diagnose problems independently and communicate solutions clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure, data management, and AWS.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Demonstrated experience with development environments including AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Experience conducting data processing activities and working with Python.
• Demonstrated experience building and executing ETL pipelines and integrating data flows with enterprise systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and proactively solve problems.
• Clear communication with technical and nontechnical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of targeting workflows, tools, and environments.
• Experience with large language models and agentic workflows.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j.
• Experience supporting a hard-target mission area.

Applicants must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP). Insight Xcite does not sponsor or process security clearances at this time.

Work Location

This position is onsite in McLean, Virginia. Remote and hybrid work are not offered.

The pay range for this role is: 170,000 - 220,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – McLean VA)
