About the Position

• Provide patient-centered care for mothers and infants throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care based on maternal and neonatal conditions.
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and maternal assessments.
• Assist in labor management, vaginal and operative deliveries, and newborn stabilization.
• Administer medications and manage epidural and IV therapies per hospital protocol.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding the birthing process and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
• Float to other maternal-child units or sister campuses as required.
• Participate in unit call schedule and assist as core staff within the unit culture.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required.
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• Degree from an accredited nursing program (must appear on profile),
• OR a minimum of 5 years of relevant LDRP experience in lieu of degree accreditation.
• Licensure: Active and unencumbered Florida RN license or compact equivalent.
• EMR: Experience with Epic required.
