Overview
Sterile Processing Tech – Certified Sterile Processing Tech, located in Glens Falls, NY. Start date: 08/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,394–$1,463. Shift: 5x8 evenings (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). Setting: hospital, travel - temporary assignment.

- Work setting: hospital with extensive OR coverage and EPIC EMR
- 16 OR suites with L&D coverage for C-sections; multiple specialties involved

Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following approved procedures
- Inspect, package, and prepare instrument trays; operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam, sterilants) and log cycles
- Maintain instrument trays, case carts, and sterile supply areas; restock and manage inventory to support perioperative teams
- Document sterilization processes and instrument tracking in the EMR (EPIC)
- Support surgical teams across procedures in neuro, ortho, ENT, thoracic, vascular, general, and gynecology; assist with L&D C-sections as needed
- Adhere to infection-control standards and safety protocols; assist with heavy lifting up to 50 lbs as required

Requirements
- NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate must be uploaded upfront with traveler profile
- Certification: Certified Sterile Processing Tech; BLS and HSPA (IAHCSMM) required
- Minimum 2 years of current sterile processing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and perioperative instrumentation workflows
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment
- Travel experience preferred
