Traveling Electrical SuperintendentTrueline is seeking a Traveling Electrical Superintendent to join its growing field operations team with a well-established electrical contractor serving industrial, commercial, and institutional clients. This is a 100% travel role for an experienced Journeyman Electrician who can lead crews, coordinate complex electrical work, and take ownership of major projects in the field.You'll initially work alongside experienced field leadership to learn the company's systems and standards before taking full ownership of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned electrical professional who enjoys being on the road, leading people, and building a long-term career with a growing contractor.What You'll Do as the Traveling Electrical Superintendent:Lead daily field operations on industrial, commercial, and institutional electrical construction projectsOversee Foremen and electrical crews, with project teams potentially reaching 30-35 field employeesSupervise and develop field personnel while establishing clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and accountabilityCoordinate manpower, tools, equipment, materials, and project priorities to keep work moving efficientlyRead and interpret MEP drawings, electrical plans, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and submittalsPlan work activities around overall construction schedules and anticipate manpower and material needsCoordinate closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, other trades, and field leadershipOversee installation of feeders, branch conduit, switchgear, motor control centers, panels, lighting, power systems, fire alarm systems, and related electrical infrastructureMonitor project progress and hold Foremen and crews accountable for production goals and quality standardsTroubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field issues before they affect schedule or productionMaintain compliance with NEC requirements and applicable state and local electrical codesLead jobsite safety expectations and ensure crews follow company and project safety requirementsComplete and oversee accurate daily reporting covering progress, materials, manpower, and field issuesIdentify workforce needs and mentor Foremen, Journeymen, and developing field leadersTravel full time to project sites as requiredMust-Haves as the Traveling Electrical Superintendent:State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent Journeyman license from another stateSignificant electrical construction experience, with 15+ years strongly preferredProven Superintendent, Foreman, General Foreman, or comparable electrical field leadership experienceExperience supervising electrical crews and coordinating daily field productionStrong industrial or commercial electrical construction backgroundAbility to read and interpret construction documents, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematicsStrong working knowledge of the National Electrical CodeExperience with switchgear, motor control centers, conduit systems, panels, lighting, and power distributionStrong manpower planning, scheduling, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilityAbility and willingness to travel 100% of the timeOSHA 10 certificationCPR/First Aid certificationValid driver's licenseNice-to-Haves as the Traveling Electrical Superintendent:15-20 years of electrical construction experienceSignificant industrial electrical construction experienceExperience overseeing multiple Foremen and large electrical crewsExperience leading project teams of approximately 30-35 field employeesOSHA 30 certificationExperience developing Foremen and other field leadersExperience working on complex manufacturing, industrial, institutional, or critical infrastructure projectsStrong Microsoft Office skillsExperience using digital construction reporting and project management toolsThis Role Offers:Hourly Base Salary up to $80/hrHourly per diem while traveling $19/hrMonthly travel bonus up to $500$600 monthly vehicle allowance provided as a non-taxable reimbursement, subject to company policyCompany support for travel-related expensesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysTool allowanceOpportunity to lead significant electrical construction projects and field teamsLong-term advancement opportunities as the organization continues to growOpportunity to join an established electrical contractor with more than five decades of operating historyTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
