Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU / 12-Hour Nights

Location

Yakima, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (1900–0730 / 0700–1930) | Every Other Weekend Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a mixed ICU and Telemetry patient population including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, CVA overflow, and post-cath patients
• Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and monitoring of femoral arterial sheaths (travelers will not pull femoral sheaths)
• Administer blood products and manage vasoactive and cardiac drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitroglycerin, and heparin
• Care for surgical patients including vascular, abdominal, and GI cases; monitor patients on BiPAP
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to ICU level or below throughout the hospital as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment (first-time travelers will not be considered)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with arterial lines (Art lines)
• Experience with Impella and/or Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Familiarity with TR bands and femoral approach post-cath care
• Comfort managing both ICU-level and Telemetry patient populations simultaneously
