Mobile Fire Support Food Service Worker

General Food Service Worker Summary Provides general labor for tasks related to food service and other tasks to ensure smooth operations of the Fire Pod. Assist in the set-up, operations and tear down of any particular area which they may be assigned. Duties Assist cooks in preparation and safe handling of food in mobile kitchen. Assists leads in any of the preparation and safe handling of food or beverages. Assists in the cleanliness of the serving, dinning, preparation or any other area of the base camp. Serves meals. Washes dishes and performs other general and assigned cleaning tasks. Assists with camp set up and tear down. Assist with inventory and moving food supplies. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Food service and food preparation experience preferred. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer. Ability to effectively present information. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
