Physician Neonatology - Competitive Salary

The facility features a growing Level III NICU program with an 8-bed NICU and 10 LDR couplet care rooms, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Opportunity: Board Certified - Neonatology Job Details: • Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery • Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with OB and perinatal teams • Deliver patient-centered care to a daily census of approximately 9-11 patients • Work within an 8-bed Level III NICU and 10 LDR couplet care rooms • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 2 Neonatologists and 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners • Mentor and support NICU nursing and respiratory teams as patient acuity grows • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols • Contribute to strategic growth and expansion of the NICU program • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts • Maintain strong communication with hospital leadership and staff • Flexible week-on/week-off schedule with home call model • Home call during assigned week (24 hours/day for 7 consecutive days) • Weekend coverage included during week-on schedule • Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology • Virginia Medical License required (or willingness to obtain) • Neonatology experience required (experienced candidates only) • Optional participation in moonlighting opportunities across Virginia • Permanent, full-time position requiring residency within immediate local area Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
