Endoscopy Tech

Location: Lansing Surgery Center, 1707 Lake Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48912, USA Schedule: Mon-Friday, no nights or weekends Shift: General 8/hr shift (Shift times will vary with facility schedule) Pinnacle GI Partners is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support our surgical center in Lansing, MI. The technician will work under the direction of physicians, surgery center leadership, and registered nurses to assist with procedures, set up procedure rooms, and reprocess scopes to provide excellent patient care. We value teamwork, compassionate care, and effective communication. The role requires strong multitasking skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopes and accessory equipment used in the Endoscopy Center. Display a working knowledge of basic anatomy of video scopes and their use and operation. Process equipment with care to prevent damage, maintain quality, and prolong usefulness. Maintain the automatic scope washer according to policy. Transport soiled equipment from the procedure room to the decontamination area. Adhere to Universal Precautions when cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes and accessories. Restock supplies as needed. Administer throat spray and inject saline or dye through an injection needle under direct supervision of a physician. Assist with patient care under direct supervision of an RN. Prepare specimens accurately and document properly in the patient’s medical record and pathology requisitions, when indicated. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent; college coursework desirable. Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician or Nurse Assistant highly preferred. Previous experience in a hospital, surgical, or ASC setting. Prior medical training or experience preferred. Current BLS certification. Authorized to work in the United States.
