Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The EP Lab RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care during electrophysiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to facilitate complex cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for EP lab interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals throughout procedures.
• Circulate procedures and assist physicians during diagnostics and treatments.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ensuring accurate procedural documentation.
• Monitor and manage patient sedation levels during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including radiation safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in cardiac or electrophysiology labs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in activated clotting time (ACT), cardioversion, and EKG interpretation.
• Be BLS and ACLS certified.
• Have previous experience with EP lab equipment and procedures.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
