The Mess Hall

$21–$23 per hour + pooled tips | Full-Time or Part-Time

The Mess Hall is looking for a Beverage Runners to join our front-of-house team. This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role focused primarily on getting drinks from the bar to tables quickly and accurately, both indoors and outdoors.

The Beverage Runner will work closely with bartenders and FOH management to keep beverage efficient and complaint while providing friendly and attentive service to our guests.

California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is required. Previous bar or beverage service experience is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Run alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from the bar to guest tables.
• Deliver drinks accurately and efficiently to tables throughout indoor and outdoor dining areas.
• Check IDs and follow all applicable California alcohol-service and age-verification requirements.
• Clear empty glasses and beverage-related items from tables when applicable.
• Possibly assist the bar team during peak periods 
• Help keep dining, bar, and beverage service areas clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.

What We're Looking For

• RBS
• Previous bar, beverage service, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Able to work quickly and stay organized in a busy restaurant environment.
• Comfortable carrying trays, beverages, and glassware.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, and carry items throughout a shift.
• Ability to safely carry trays, beverages, and glassware.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
