Under the general direction of the Program Manager, executive leadership, the Program and Project Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and oversees complex programs and projects that support the CPUC's strategic priorities. The incumbent supervises professional staff, manages program operations, develops policies and procedures, monitors budgets and contracts, and ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
The Program and Project Supervisor provides leadership in strategic planning, risk management, performance management, and continuous process improvement while fostering collaboration across divisions and with external stakeholders. The position serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing policy recommendations, data-driven analysis, and innovative solutions to complex organizational challenges.

Typical Work Environment:
- The incumbent works in a professional office or hybrid environment, frequently leading meetings, coordinating cross-functional teams, preparing executive-level reports, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, site visits, or training.

Please write your SOQ to address the following three questions:
- Describe your experience administering complex broadband, telecommunications, or infrastructure deployment programs. Include the scope and scale of the program(s), your specific role and responsibilities, and whether they operated under state, federal, or joint state-federal requirements. Provide specific examples that demonstrate how your experience has prepared you for the duties of this position.
- Describe your supervisory experience, including the size and composition of the team(s) you have led. How do you set expectations, support staff development, and address performance challenges? Provide a specific example of how you have navigated a difficult supervisory situation and what the outcome was. addressed performance or conduct issues. Provide a specific example.
- Describe your experience managing programs subject to federal compliance requirements, such as federal grants, uniform guidance (2 CFR Part 200), federal reporting, or federal oversight. Include how you have ensured your team met federal deadlines, maintained compliance documentation, and responded to federal audits, reviews, or corrective actions. Provide specific examples.
