As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge processes, and provide exceptional customer service. Using strong communication and computer skills, you will assist travelers, visitors, and staff while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport grounds, terminal exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and facility concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, fire, medical, and other emergency personnel as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, observations, and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
