Senior Mechanical Project ManagerA regionally recognized mechanical construction and facilities services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial projects while serving as a key contributor to the organization's long-term growth and operational success.This organization provides full lifecycle mechanical solutions including HVAC, plumbing, piping, controls/building automation, engineering services, and prefabrication support. Projects include healthcare, higher education, mission-critical facilities, manufacturing, commercial high-rise, and industrial installations.Position OverviewThe Senior Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires exceptional leadership, financial management, client relationship development, and strategic project execution skills. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, estimating, field leadership, and executive management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This position offers significant leadership visibility and long-term advancement potential as the company continues to grow and develop future operational leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through project closeoutManage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, profitability, and financial reportingDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules and resource plansOversee subcontractor, vendor, and procurement activitiesManage submittals, RFIs, change orders, contract administration, and pay applicationsIdentify project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with estimating, engineering, VDC/BIM, fabrication, and field operations teamsBuild and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and project stakeholdersProvide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnelSupport business development efforts, project pursuits, and client relationship managementEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and contractual requirementsQualifications10+ years of commercial or industrial mechanical construction project management experienceProven success managing large, complex HVAC, plumbing, piping, or process mechanical projectsStrong knowledge of project scheduling, financial management, forecasting, and cost controlExperience with preconstruction activities, project planning, and estimating reviewsDemonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teamsStrong understanding of mechanical construction means, methods, and project execution strategiesProficiency with project management and construction software platformsExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsPreferred BackgroundBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferredExperience with Design-Build, Design-Assist, GMP, and negotiated projectsExperience within healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, institutional, or large commercial construction environmentsLeadership experience mentoring teams and developing future project leadersWhat's OfferedCompetitive compensation package with bonus potentialComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and 401(k)Opportunity to lead high-profile commercial and industrial projectsClear advancement pathway into Project Executive, Operations Management, or Senior Leadership rolesStrong company culture focused on collaboration, employee development, and long-term career growthThis is an opportunity to join a stable, highly respected mechanical contractor where senior project managers are empowered to lead, influence company growth, and build long-term careers within a people-focused organization.
