Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 4x10 | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with one weekend per month required; weekend and overnight rotating call required | 36 Weekly Guaranteed Hours

Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for surgical patients in the cardiovascular operating room, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Circulate and scrub in the OR for cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Navigate multiple computer systems including EPIC EMR to document and manage patient information
• Function within the scope of nursing practice and established guidelines, including applicable state Nurse Practice Act standards
• Participate in rotating call coverage including weekends and overnight shifts as required

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact state license
• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
• Vascular or heart case experience required
• Ability to circulate and scrub in the OR setting
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function both independently and within a team

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Two or more years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience
• Heart and vascular surgical case experience is a plus
