Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in medical-surgical units, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician’s orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess condition changes to promptly address any concerns.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on health management, medication, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all certification, licensing, and safety standards, including required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Tennessee or multi-state compact nursing license.
• Possess at least one year of clinical experience in medical-surgical units.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI (or MAB in lieu of CPI).
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including forensic and inpatient units.
• Demonstrate ability to work night shifts (3×12 hours, 19:00-07:00).
• Willing to participate in holiday rotation and work three out of six holidays.
