Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

Hours of Operation: 10:45pm-7:00am Growth Potential Team-Oriented Environment Dynamic Culture and People What Success Looks Like: Perform required maintenance of all equipment Assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements & troubleshooting to existing equipment Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner Track and report maintenance issues or future reference Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly Continually be advised of equipment updates and operational issues and take action as needed. Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Communicate effectively with maintenance & productions staff to resolve issues in a timely manner Ability to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V. Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics Support general maintenance activities as needed Ability to work a flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed. Continued education-internal & external training opportunities Ability to handle and resolve problems Ability to perform any other work-related functions as requested by Management. General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed Your Credentials: HS Diploma; Technical Degree Preferred 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing setting PLC troubleshooting and modification experience Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems Basic knowledge of Chilled water systems Basic knowledge of HVAC systems Strong Electrical experience Print Reading Wiring Troubleshooting Detail Oriented, professional, and flexible to the requirement of each project Dependable, Reliable, Responsible Must be driven and self-motivated Ability to complete written reports Computer Skills Hourly Rate of pay is commensurate with experience and electrical assessment conducted by Quanex beginning at $25.00/hr. + $1.00 Shift Differential for 2 nd & 3 rd shifts. 3 rd shift Sunday-Thursday - 10:45pm - 7:00am About Quanex, A Part of Something Bigger Quanex (NYSE: NX) is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.
