GSRP Lead Teacher

Hours Monday - Friday 7:45-315 Position is hired through our Third Party EduStaff Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Teacher in our Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) - Pre-K for all. This full-time position is designed for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in accordance with GSRP guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early childhood education, and a commitment to supporting families in their children's learning journey. Responsibilities Collaboratively develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with GSRP standards and objectives. Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and learning. Assess and monitor children's progress, maintaining accurate records of individual development and learning milestones. Collaborate with families to support children's educational and social-emotional needs, providing resources and guidance as necessary. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere. Facilitate communication with parents, caregivers, and community partners to promote family engagement and support. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining a safe and organized classroom. Plan and coordinate family events and activities that promote community involvement and support children's learning. Actively contribute to a positive team culture and collaborate with colleagues to enhance program effectiveness. Qualifications (copied from GSRP implementation manual): Lead Teachers must meet the GSRP qualifications upon hire. A Lead Teacher will be considered credentialed for the position with minimally any of the following: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education ; or A bachelor’s degree in elementary teaching with a valid Preschool CDA; In addition: Experience or knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold preferred. Strong knowledge of child development principles and GSRP requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes and record-keeping. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment. First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
