Key Qualifications:

• Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting young learners in grades 1-3
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication skills for engaging students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to cultivating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Flexibility and creativity in adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with behavioral and academic interventions for elementary students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction in alignment with each student's IEP
• Work closely with the Stepping Stones Program team to ensure targeted support
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and adapt strategies as needed
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a welcoming classroom
• Communicate regularly with families on student achievement and goals
• Establish routines and implement behavior management strategies appropriate for elementary students
• Contribute to building a nurturing, encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive
