Job Details Position: Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico (88011) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Call Coverage: Weekend 24-hour call and shared weekday night call Patient Volume: Approximately 17 patient encounters per shift Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,160 to $7,290 Healthcare Setting: 18-bed chemotherapy suite with dedicated pharmacists, weekly tumor boards, and clinical trial access EMR: Mosiaq Start Date: ASAP with ongoing locum tenens coverage opportunities Job Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology or Internal Medicine with Hematology/Oncology experience At least 1 year of relevant physician experience preferred Current BLS certification required Experience managing both new patient consults and follow-up oncology care Comfort providing phone call coverage for patient questions, infusion-related concerns, and occasional ED consults Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology preferred Responsibilities Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care for adult patients Evaluate new patients and manage follow-up visits with evidence-based treatment planning Support chemotherapy care coordination and respond to clinical questions from nursing staff Collaborate with medical assistants, RNs, pharmacists, and the broader oncology care team Participate in shared weekend and weekday night call coverage as scheduled Contribute to multidisciplinary tumor boards and support ongoing clinical trial participation Help deliver a high-quality, patient-centered experience in a busy oncology practice Apply now for this locum tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician job in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and join a supportive healthcare team serving patients in need of expert cancer care.
