Job Summary The Janitor, Day Porter is an on-site, daytime custodian/janitor who maintains commercial property cleanliness and safety during business hours. The Day Porter will perform as needed regular cleaning duties in order to support the mission of the organization. Essential Functions When needed replacement of non-LED light bulbs. Painting as required. Regular HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) filter changes. Collect and deliver parts and tools to work areas. Clean up job site/work area(s). Event Support, setups and cleanup after each event. Perform quality control (QC) checks throughout customer facilities. Furniture services, assembling new furniture, moving and/or rearranging furniture as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work with persons with disabling conditions. Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter, problem-solver, and team player. Overtime, shift or travel requirement, occasional overtime; work varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures*. The incumbent will be required and must have the ability to drive for company business*. Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least: 21 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation), 25 – 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services, 25 years of age for CDL.
