Please discuss with our hiring managers during our selection processes.SUMMARYThe Parts Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory of the facilities maintenance operations, including inventory counts, procurement, receiving and stocking of building materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCatalog and maintain inventory item data and specifications within the computerized database for inventoryCreate purchase orders and place orders with vendorsReceive product, reconcile to invoice and enter into database; restock as neededPerform month-end inventory reviewsPerform cost comparisons to source best pricing on materialsManage vendor relationsCollaborate with manufacturers to develop higher quality materials for proprietary parts with a high rate of failureInitial setup and ongoing organization/management of parts rooms - organizing, labeling, bins, and distributionOptimize the inventory management processes through provided softwarePerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year of experience in a construction, repair trade or home improvement retail store preferred.Knowledge of building materials such as fasteners, plumbing, electrical, and tools.Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft office and Internet navigationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in EnglishExcellent organizational and time management skillsMust possess a positive attitudeRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate effective interface with culturally diverse hourly and management Associates, vendors, applicants and the public at largeAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMost work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
