A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead its clinical team while continuing to provide high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and shaping the future of a growing practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals
- Lead and mentor the veterinary team, promoting a collaborative and positive culture
- Establish and uphold medical standards and best practices
- Partner with hospital leadership on operational and strategic initiatives
- Support team development through coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Ensure high-quality patient care and client satisfaction
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active or eligible veterinary license
- Previous leadership experience OR strong interest in a leadership role
- Strong clinical skills in general practice (wellness, surgery, dentistry)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for mentorship, team development, and high-quality medicine
