OR Materials Management Coordinator - Purchasing - Full Time 8 Hour Night Shift (Non Union)

Responsibilities Provide support for all medical supplies, equipment, and materials for hospital departments. Oversee receiving, storing, controlling, and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies. Purchase and procure supplies and equipment for hospital departments. Develop and maintain customer relations between the Surgical Services Department and Materials Management. Incorporate purchasing knowledge with established standards of practice. Ensure quality and safe patient care by procuring appropriate products cost‑effectively. Collaborate with the management team to meet procedural supplies and equipment needs for USC Verdugo Hills. Work with vendors to maintain a good relationship between vendors and the hospital. Qualifications High School Diploma. Minimum of two years’ hospital experience in the OR/Materials Management. Thorough knowledge of all medical supplies utilized in the medical facility. Knowledge of sterile technique as it applies to supply handling. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Displays behavior conducive to excellent customer service. Knowledge of inventory management, clinical documentation, inventory control, and contract compliance. Demonstrated problem‑solving and strong organizational/time‑management skills. Ability to operate a computer and proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of computers in a materials management setting preferred.
