Assembly Technician - Wed-Sat

Overview Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is seeking an Assembly Technician (Wed‑Sat schedule). The hourly rate is $29.53 per hour. Core hours are 6:00am‑4:30pm. Salary is a general guideline; actual pay depends on skills, experience, and qualifications. What you’ll do Perform routine and non‑routine technical work on life support, air‑to‑air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems. Build, assemble, inspect, test, calibrate, diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, and program a variety of products and product lines. Construct and assemble new products in development stages; work with Engineers on prototype units, first article, and developmental units or upgrades to existing units. Set up and operate metal fabricating equipment including rolling machines, drills, and saws. Use hand and power tools (drills, sanders, files, grinders, rivet guns, paint equipment) along with jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring and test equipment. Document and maintain records of work activity for current and future reference. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 2 years technical degree (electrical, electrical/mechanical, or mechanical). Applicants will receive no immigration sponsorship; must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR. Must reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA, or be an active‑duty military member (exempt from the geographic limit). Position requires ITAR‑controlled hardware access. Preferred: previous manufacturing experience; minimum 3 years of troubleshooting experience within the last 5 years. Position Criteria Demonstrable skills in electronics, electromechanical, mechanical, or hybrid combinations. Proficiency in job‑related math skills. Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical instructions, engineering blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and stack‑up tolerances. Understand electronic circuitry and use test equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components and assemblies. Perform duties without special tooling or test equipment.
