Details 36-bed Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery, 6:1 max, occasionally stretched to 7:1 PCTs available on day and night shifts, with Unit Clerks on day shift Uses remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps Documentation completed in Meditech Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Scheduled to work every other weekend Agency staff float first, potentially to Ortho or Med-Surg units Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required At least 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification Knowledge of chest tubes and Dysthymia training required Experience with chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted) One professional reference required Additional Information Deliver telemetry monitoring and care to a cardiac and medical patient population Adhere to unit-specific Telemetry Monitoring and Stroke policies Scrubs of any color accepted except camo pattern Unit maintains a strong culture of recognition, including Daisy and Bee award certificates and a monthly staff-voted STAR award Unit strives for a 75% patient satisfaction rate Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-749525.
