Position: Quality Inspector
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM – 3:45 PM
Location: Pewaukee, WI
Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections and perform specialized tests on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
- Use inspection techniques such as dye penetrants, binders, catalysts, washes, and pressure soap tests to verify product quality
- Perform final inspections of castings before shipment to ensure they meet standards
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed logs and reports
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for product compliance
- Evaluate castings within the welding rack and conduct evaluations as needed
- Communicate inspection findings clearly to supervisors and teams
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in inspection methods
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and thorough approach to quality assurance
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess visually and perform technical inspections accurately
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents
- Experience with casting inspection and welding evaluations is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
