Job PurposeA QMA 1 is responsible for operating one or more plastic injection molding machines or auxiliary equipment. QMA will inspect, perform value added work and pack parts accordingly.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSafely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Complete shift/press paperwork as requiredAbility to walk medium distances within press cycle timesComply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management SystemMust be able to take directions well.Participate in monthly meetings and TPS projects.Must be able to solve problems.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to work in team environment and maintain positive attitudeAbility to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and proceduresGood attention to detailWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when requiredPhysical RequirementsStanding for long periods of timeMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat.
