• Shift: 24-Hour Beeper Call (6am-6am) with orientation and call-back
• Hours/Week: As scheduled (minimum shifts required)
• Employment Type: Contract/Locum
• Licensing: Active CA medical license, DEA, Board Certified or BE (within 3-5 years of residency)
• Experience: Neonatology experience, including airway management, UVC/UAC placement, neonate intubation, chest tube, and lumbar puncture skills (preferred: ventilator management, chest tube insertion)

What You’ll Do:

• Manage neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients, including preemies down to 32 weeks, and newborn resuscitations
• Perform neonatal airway management, including intubation and emergency procedures
• Conduct procedures such as UVC and UAC placement, lumbar punctures, and chest tube insertions (neonates)
• Respond to neonatal emergencies including air leaks/pneumothorax and neonate ventilator management (preferred)
• Collaborate with ED and anesthesia teams for pediatric procedures
• Cover inpatient hospitalist duties, including call duties and emergent care

What You Need:

• Active California medical license and DEA
• Board certification or board eligibility within 3-5 years of residency
• Neonatology experience, including airway management and emergency procedures
• Certification in NRP
• Ability to pass credentialing requirements including current CV and hospital documentation
