Job TitleMaintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district.Education/CertificationMust have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving recordSpecial Knowledge/SkillsAbility to read and understand written instructionsAbility to communicate (verbally)Ability to operate tractor and landscaping equipmentAbility to operate riding or power mower, power tools, and hand toolsPlant shrubs, trees, and flowers. Prune trees and shrubs.Spray for weeds and insects using unrestricted chemicals as required.Operate large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activitiesOperate pickup trucks, flat rack trucks, and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removalPerforms minor maintenance and repair on equipmentUse of power equipmentExperiencePreferred but not requiredPhysical DemandsModerate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reachingWork outside and inside, with exposure to all types of weather and noise.
