Land Mobile Radio Specialist – DoDJohnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Land Mobile Radio Specialist at our client’s project in Warren, MI. This is a contract to hire or direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile government project with a highly respected company known for its great work culture.Responsibilities:Support Motorola ASTRO 25 SmartZone Release 7.14 trunked system.Program and run emergency talk group reassignment and mutual aid talk groups when required.Process parts orders.Run parts inventory reports.Run stock subscriber reports.Schedule subscriber technical issues (batteries, Antenna, remote mic and malfunction issues). Schedule subscriber vehicle installation.Provide touch laborProvide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) programming and perform regular software maintenance, including patching and upgrades.Update software to ensure compatibility, security, and optimal performance, as well as applying patches to address known issues and vulnerabilities.Provide Tier II and Tier IIIQualifications:3+ years’ experienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred or have equivalent experienceAbility to organize, prioritize and meet deadlinesCapable of conveying complex information in a simplistic mannerStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong self-starter requiring minimal supervisionAble to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by natureStrong verbal and written communication skillsPosition requires a Secret security clearance.
