Software Engineer - API Marketplace

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 3+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We expect practical programming experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST, microservices, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, cloud-native development, Agile, DevOps, and TDD.
• We require recent experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, along with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• We value prior experience building or using API platforms, with strong expertise in one or more areas of the end-to-end API stack, including cloud connectivity, network diagnosis, resilient systems, API security, authentication and authorization, API gateways, and API design, standards, documentation, and governance.
• We look for advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep expertise in one or more technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We need the ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight.
• We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers on safe and effective use.

• We apply discipline and creativity to solve business-critical problems in partnership with tech leads, product managers, and designers.
• We identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve the quality of engineering deliverables.
• We communicate clearly with stakeholders and are comfortable leading customer discussions.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes.
• We serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• We contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and software development life cycle practices.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply software development life cycle toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
