Manager / Senior Manager, Data Analytics

POSITION:

The Senior Manager / Manager, Data Analytics will play a key role within the Commercial Analytics function, reporting directly to the Vice President, Commercial Analytics. This role will be responsible for managing and integrating data from multiple sources to generate insights, maintain data integrity, and support business reporting and building forecasts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical and analytical background, with the ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights that inform commercial decision-making. This individual will partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Finance to ensure consistent, high-quality reporting and data alignment across the organization.

The level of the position (Manager or Sr. Manager) will be determined based on the selected candidates experience, qualifications, and overall fit with the scope of the role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management

• Assist in the integration of data from multiple internal and external sources (e.g., IQVIA, Definitive Healthcare, Salesforce, and other commercial databases) into centralized reporting and analytics systems.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all data feeds and datasets.
• Collaborate with vendors and external data warehouse partners to optimize data sources, hierarchies, and system connectivity.

Data Integrity & Governance

• Maintain and enforce data quality standards and governance processes to ensure reliable and compliant data usage.

• Manage relationships with data vendors and aggregators to ensure contractual deliverables are met.

• Monitor data discrepancies and oversee remediation to sustain high data integrity across all commercial platforms.

Business Reporting

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and standardized reports that track key commercial metrics and performance indicators.
• Utilize visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel to communicate insights in a clear and accessible format. Ensure that reports remain relevant and updated as business needs change.
• Partner with key stakeholders to design executive-level dashboards and recurring reports that support strategic business reviews.

Analytics & Insight Generation

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and patterns that inform business decisions.
• Translate data into actionable insights that support marketing performance, customer engagement, and market opportunity analysis.
• Support ad hoc analyses and report requests from internal business stakeholders such as marketing and finance.
• Provide insights, analytics, and scenario modelling to support business planning and forecasting processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Business Development.
• Collaborate to define reporting needs, data sources, and key metrics to drive consistent, high-impact analytics across the organization.
• Provide data-driven recommendations that support business planning and performance optimization
• Collaborate with business partners on strategic plan, budget, and quarterly forecast with scenario analytics and modelling

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong technical and analytical skills with experience working in data-driven environments.
• Proven ability to manage and analyze complex datasets and transform data into actionable business insights.
• Hands-on expertise with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus on Business, Data Science, Statistics, Finance / Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or commercial reporting roles—ideally within the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing external data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Definitive Healthcare, or similar).
• Proficiency in data management and reporting tools including Power BI, Excel (advanced level), and SQL or similar querying languages.
• Strong understanding of commercial and marketing analytics concepts and metrics.

COMPENSATION:

• Manager: $100,000 - $142,000
• Sr. Manager: $136,000 - $188,000

EXEMPT/NON EXEMPT: EXEMPT
