Marketing Specialist

Michelli Weighing & Measurement is seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Marketing Specialist to support the development and execution of marketing strategies that strengthen our brand, generate new business, and retain existing customers. This position will work closely with account managers, manufacturer product marketers, and company leadership to develop marketing campaigns, customer success stories, digital content, advertising, events, and sales collateral. The ideal candidate is a hands-on marketer who can balance creativity with strategy, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and use market insights to identify opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities Work closely with manufacturer product marketers and the account management team to develop and execute marketing strategies, customer development initiatives, and customer retention campaigns. Develop a marketing plan outlining short- and long-term objectives, priorities, and initiatives. Partner with account managers and company leadership to create customer case studies, testimonials, and customer success stories. Conduct market research and monitor competitors, industry developments, and market trends to identify opportunities to attract and retain customers. Manage and maintain company website properties, including content updates, basic design and development, and search engine optimization (SEO). Develop and coordinate media placement strategies and advertising campaigns across digital and traditional channels. Create marketing content and collateral, including digital materials, presentations, promotional materials, and other sales-support resources. Perform graphic design and copywriting as needed to support marketing initiatives. Distribute approved marketing collateral and resources to account managers to support sales efforts. Coordinate marketing support for trade shows, conferences, customer events, and other industry opportunities. Research, evaluate, and present new software and technology solutions that may improve prospecting, lead management, marketing, and sales processes. Work collaboratively with other departments to support exceptional customer service and resolve issues in an effective and timely manner. Prepare and review forecasts and marketing-related information to support financial targets, control operational costs, and improve profitability. Track and evaluate marketing initiatives and make recommendations for improving effectiveness and return on investment. Support the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System objectives and related requirements. Follow direction from executive and company management and effectively communicate project status, priorities, and deadlines. Attend company and industry training sessions as required. Travel periodically to support trade shows, conferences, meetings, and other company events. Meet established deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities. Assist other team members and departments as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a B2B, industrial, technical, manufacturing, or service-based environment. Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, engaging marketing content. Experience managing website content and familiarity with SEO best practices. Working knowledge of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and online advertising. Experience with graphic design and marketing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to conduct market research, analyze information, and turn findings into actionable recommendations. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accountability. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with account managers, leadership, and other departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software and technology platforms. Experience with CRM, marketing automation, lead management, or analytics platforms is a plus. Willingness to travel periodically for company events, trade shows, and conferences. Requirements Ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, computer, and in person.
