Benefits Flexible scheduling Benefits for full-time and part-time team members (not applicable for 1099) Part-time preferred hours or full-time hours Access to clinical support teams Training workshops for professional development credit Pay commensurate with experience Job Details Job Type: Contract Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected Hours: Flexible Responsibilities Implement treatment plans and programs through consistent daily and weekly schedules focusing on functional and measurable outcomes shared with the school and/or supervisors. Deliver specialized individual and group physical therapy instruction as mandated in students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Collect data and complete reports regarding the student’s goals and progress. Consult with other professionals (Teachers, SLP, OT, PCP, etc.) to ensure a cohesive therapy team. Assess and document each student’s progress through formal and informal tests and measurements. Write and prepare annual review reports and goals for each student in accordance with IEP dates and state guidelines. Provide physical therapy expertise when developing FBA/BIP. Provide parent and caregiver support and education to discuss the student’s progress and strategies for continued support outside of school. Attend all school-related meetings (Triennials, Annual Reviews, Domain, Referrals, pre-IEP meetings). Ensure a suitable learning environment by setting up and preparing materials and supplies. Supervise PTAs in accordance with state practice act guidelines, as needed. Communicate and follow up with schools and families to obtain appropriate physician signatures/orders for referrals. Follow safety guidelines and directives for the student in regards to functional mobility and orientation (e.g., transfers, wheelchair/walker mobility). Utilize communication devices and assistive technology as outlined by the speech language pathologist and itinerants. Follow fire drill and safety guidelines for each student. Provide screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled PT intervention relative to the student/client’s level of function. Provide documentation to maintain quality therapy records, reimbursement guidelines, billing accuracy, and school requirements. Participate in school trainings, in-service, and professional development opportunities. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Appropriate State License Experience serving students ages 3-21 with physical, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
