Registered Nurse – Emergency DepartmentWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in emergency nursing and pediatric care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.Assess and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment.Utilize specialized equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.Offer care to a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in the care of patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.Fulfill floating responsibilities as required.Provide care to all assigned patients, including those requiring Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification must be up to date).Active New York State nursing license and verification of all registered nursing licenses through NURSYS.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically EPIC.Strong ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment.Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.Work ScheduleThe position requires working from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.Unit InformationEmergency Department with a total of 64 beds.Unit includes 2 triage areas, 40 acute care beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 clinical decision unit beds, and 6 psychiatric beds.LocationThis position is located in a dynamic and diverse environment in the city of New York, NY.
