Assistant Controller

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join their finance team. This role will focus strong internal controls, managing month-end close, and providing accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead and advise the accounting team on GAAP principles and financial statement preparation. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate financial data. Manage the month-end close process across departments. Analyze financial results to identify and correct material misstatements. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with technical standards. Develop and monitor internal controls and conduct audits to ensure policy compliance. Oversee inventory costing methods, including standard cost management and annual revaluation. Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation. Analyze inventory variances and implement corrective actions. Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations. Mentor and support accounting team members.
