OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE - The role leads the Predictive Maintenance (PDM) team and lubrication technicians. The role does all of the condition-based monitoring for the plant site, to include vibration analysis, thermography, ultra-sonic, precision alignment, and MCE testing. The role is also responsible for analyzing the data collected and making recommendations for preventive maintenance techniques based off of that data. The position maintains the site’s lubrication program and continuously refines lubrication strategies with the Reliability Engineering team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leads the site’s CBM practices and coordinates that work with the respective departments
Collects/analyzes the CBM data including vibration, thermography, ultrasound, and motor testing.
Makes recommendations for preventive maintenance work based off of that data that was collected.
Communicates deficiencies identified on critical equipment with asset management and operations personnel and provides technical support for repair strategies.
Drives the planning and development of new CBM routes and lubrication opportunities.
Supervises lubrication technician schedule compliance, ensures lubrication inventories are maintained, and supports the environmental team with following site procedures for used oil.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Certifications in CBM Techniques preferred.
Vibration Levels 2-4
Thermography Levels 2-4
10-15 years’ experience in CBM Techniques
Knowledge and experience in use of precision maintenance techniques
Knowledge of lubrication techniques and strategies
Industrial Experience Required preferably in an industrial maintenance role
