About the role

Seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at the Hughson, California, location. This mid-level role involves applying both basic and advanced welding skills under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in stainless TIG welding, blueprint reading, and operating welding and material handling equipment. This is a 6-month temp-to-hire position, requiring availability for additional hours and weekends as needed. Must-Haves: TIG + MIG welding. Stainless steel experience. Manufacturing environment background (no construction/pipefitting, no pipefitters at all). Stable job history. Nice-to-Have: Broader fabrication experience. Ability to grow into higher-level roles as they expand. Pay Range: Client will increase pay + position as they prove themselves and fit with the team The company is growing fast. Job Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and job orders to plan and execute welding tasks.
• Perform welding on materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
• Set up and safely operate welding equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Grind and finish welds to meet aesthetic and quality standards.
• Deburr metal parts using powered and non-powered tools.
• Wash, strip, and paint finished metal products as required.
• Perform daily housekeeping (5S) and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings, safety programs, and quality processes.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and man lifts, safely.
• Assist other departments with related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience, preferably with stainless TIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a high focus on safety and quality standards.
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment, torch, plasma cutter, grinder, and 6,000 lb. forklift.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read measuring devices.
• Must pass welding skills and application test.
• Willingness to work additional hours and weekends to meet business needs.
• Must be able to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor (no W2 hourly candidates).
