This individual will serve a key function in site exploration activities, including soil borings and monitoring well installations; conducting field tests; collecting field data and samples; monitoring construction sites; and compiling data and preparing reports. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, solve problems and overcome challenges in restoring the environment and returning blighted properties to productive re-use while protecting and enhancing the environment. The position encourages learning, growth, creativity, flexibility, and collaboration in a team environment.Job ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental remedial technology evaluations, cost estimating, design drawings/specificationsPerform field inspections and environmental investigationsPerform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated propertiesField oversight of remediation activities and subcontractorsAssist with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; data management and evaluation; and environmental assessment and remediationPerform other duties as requestedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering; Master's degree preferred3+ years of work-related experienceEIT CertificationWorking knowledge of computer software, AutoCAD design software, and GIS a plusStrong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learnExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilitiesAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environmentPossess a valid driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locationsLangan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
