Diesel Mechanic

Diesel MechanicTrillium Professional is seeking a diesel technician for direct-hire!This direct-hire opportunity seeks experienced diesel technicians in the Beaumont, TX area to perform diagnostics, repairs, and handle documentation, while working with a supportive team committed to high standards. Mobile and in-shop positions available.This role offers a stable schedule, excellent benefits, and a modern, well-equipped shop environment. Travel to client facilities, including out of state, will be required. Pay rate is $35/hour.Responsibilities:Perform accurate troubleshooting and repair work on tractors, trailers, and related fleet equipmentDiagnosing mechanical issues by inspecting, testing, and operating equipmentComplete component repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance servicesHandle equipment tear-down and reassembly as part of repair processesUse manuals, diagrams, and prior experience to plan and execute repair proceduresRecord labor, parts, and service details in the repair order systemSupport other shop locations when staffing needs ariseTake on additional tasks as operational needs changeQualifications:3-5 years of hands-on tractor/trailer repair experience preferably with any of the manufacturers- Peterbilt, International Freightliner, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth.Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screeningCDL, ASE, and inspection certifications are beneficial but not mandatorySolid understanding of diesel engine systems, heavy-duty components, and repair techniquesBasic electrical knowledge preferred; advanced electrical diagnostics will be taught to qualified candidatesAbility to accurately track labor time and parts used on each jobStrong communication skills for working with team members and internal customersComfortable with using diagnostic software and computer-based toolsMust supply personal toolingCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and reachingWillingness to work with driver-facing safety technologyAbility to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reportsExperience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, scan tools, pressure gauges, etc.)Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
