Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: Required certifications must be met Must-Have: Trauma, Burn, Surgical ICU experience Communication and critical thinking skills Description: This position is for a registered nurse in an ICU setting. The unit has a total of 30 beds and a staffing level of 85. Staffing varies based on census, with specific roles on day and night shifts. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for PCU. The unit utilizes critical care and trauma equipment. Electronic Medical Records system in use is Meditech. Candidates will be recruited based on trauma, burn, and surgical ICU experience. Communication and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and CCRN certification. Typical procedures on this unit include wound care, code response, external ventricular drains, and massive transfusion protocols. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, willing to ask questions, and eager to assist colleagues. Floating to other ICU and PCU units may be required. Scrub attire color is royal blue. Weekend work is required, with a minimum of two weekends per pay period.
